Stan Humphrey

I am a professional counselor in training with a strong foundation in person-centered counseling and a deep belief in the healing power of a genuine, supportive therapeutic relationship. I approach counseling with the understanding that meaningful change occurs when individuals feel truly seen, heard, and accepted without judgment. My goal is to create a space rooted in empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard, where clients can safely explore their experiences and reconnect with their inner strengths.
My primary theoretical orientation is Person-Centered, meaning I believe clients are the experts of their own lives, and my role is to walk alongside them as they make sense of their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. In practice, I integrate elements of existential, narrative, and Gestalt approaches, often inviting clients to explore questions of meaning and identify, examine the stories they hold about themselves, and develop greater awareness of how emotions show up in both mind and body.
I value working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with a wide range of presenting concerns. Multicultural awareness and inclusivity are essential components of ethical and effective counseling, and I am committed to ongoing growth in these areas. In addition to my clinical interests, I am passionate about representation within the mental health field and strive to be a welcoming and affirming presence for individuals who may be considering counseling for the first time. I hope to serve as a point of connection for those seeking support , while honoring each client’s lived experience, individuality, and capacity for growth.
